Newnan Division

The Newnan division includes the following counties: Carroll, Coweta, Fayette, Haralson, Heard, Meriwether, Pike, Spalding and Troup.

When visiting the courthouse, you must bring a government picture identification (ID) and be prepared to show it upon entering. Cellular phones and other electronic devices with cameras will not be allowed beyond the security checkpoints. However, these devices without cameras are allowed.

Newnan Division Parking Information

Parking is available at four locations.

1. O.C.Williams Sr. Public Parking facility located one block west of the courthouse at the corner of Spring St. and Jackson St.

2. The Gov. Ellis Arnall Public Parking Lot is located one block east and two blocks north of the courthouse at the corner of East Washington St.and Perry St.

3. A public parking lot is located two blocks west of the courthouse at the corner of Spring St. and College St. This lot is unpaved.

4. The lot adjacent to the Newnan Federal Building (the entrance is on the back side of the building, from Perry Street). Jurors and others who have business with the court may park in the lot labeled "Federal Employee Parking Only." Please do not park in spaces that are marked as reserved.

Directions to the Newnan Courthouse:


From Carrollton
Follow U.S. Highways 27A/Georgia Highway 16 South to Newnan. U.S. 27A and Georgia 16 become Temple Ave in Newnan.
Turn right on Jackson St. (Jackson St. is also U.S. Highway 27A.)
Follow Jackson St. four blocks.
Turn left into the left hand lane on Salbide Ave. for one block.
Turn left on Greenville St.
The Courthouse is on the right, on the corner of Greenville and Spring St.

From I-85
Exit I-85 at Exit 47.
From I-85 South, turn right on Georgia Highway 34. Georgia Highway 34 is also Bullsboro Drive.
From I-85 North, turn left on Georgia Highway 34.
Follow Georgia Highway 34 approximately three miles to the intersection of Temple Ave. and Greenville St.
(It is best to be in the left hand lane at this intersection. The road bears right for a short block, after which take an immediate left.)
Turn left on Jackson St. (Jackson St. is also U.S. Highway 27A.)
Follow Jackson St. four blocks.
Turn left into the left hand lane on Salbide Ave. for one block
Turn left on Greenville St.
The Courthouse is on the right, on the corner of Greenville and Spring St.

From LaGrange
If using I-85, follow I-85 North and see instructions above.
If using U.S. Highway 29, it will merge with U.S. Highway 27A North and then merge with Georgia Highway 16 North. Finally, it will become Greenville St.
After passing Salbide Ave., the Courthouse is on the right, on the corner of Greenville and Spring St.

From Greenville / Luthersville
Follow U.S. Highway 27A North.
U.S. Highway 27A North will merge with Georgia Highway 16 North and will become Greenville St.
After passing Salbide Ave., the Courthouse is on the right, on the corner of Greenville and Spring St.

From Griffin
Follow Georgia Highway 16 North.
Georgia Highway 16 North will merge with U.S. Highway 27A and will become Greenville St.
After passing Salbide Ave., the Courthouse is on the right, on the corner of Greenville and Spring St.
