The Atlanta division includes the following counties: Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton and Rockdale.
When visiting the courthouse, you must bring a government picture identification (ID) and be prepared to show it upon entering. Cellular phones and other electronic devices with cameras will not be allowed beyond the security checkpoints. However, these devices without cameras are allowed. Russell Building (U.S. Courthouse) through an agreement with a private parking company. This lot is located at the west end of Alabama Street under the Ted Turner Drive viaduct. Enter the 'ticket entrance' and take a ticket - there is an empty attendant's booth located there. Bring your ticket with you. You will need to get it validated from a machine located in our office . The pass is collected by the parking attendant when you LEAVE the parking lot. We highly suggest that you use the directions below to reach the parking area for the Atlanta division courthouse. GPS and other mapping services are rarely successful at providing correct instructions to reach the parking area as it is below Ted Turner Drive. Beginning August 1, 2018, construction on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive near the Richard B. Russell Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse is expected to result in traffic delays. Please allow additional travel time. Directions to the Atlanta Courthouse: From East Atlanta Follow I-20 West Exit at the Windsor St. / Ted Turner Dr. / Turner Field exit.
